Autocar review of Mk7 GTI bodes well for next VRS

Featured Replies

Just watched this review of the MK7 GTI. Have to say im very impressed. I really liked the sound of the new clio RS or whatever it was called and this golf sounds almost as good. The electronicaly operated mechanical front diff seems pretty trick also. A definate must have for a FWD car IMO. Sutcliffe reackoned it cost less than 26k meaning the VRS with the trick diff could be hopefully around 23-24k surely?? All the adaptive stuff he was adjusting on the screen would probably be extra too im assuming it has adjustable dampers etc?

Based on the diff and the noise alone it gets my vote and a decent diff certainly suits the modders wanting even more power as lets be honest the current VRS even my diesel struggles with front end traction.

Looks very good. Way out of my budget for now though

Here is more of an explanation on the optional front Differential.

So does that mean that Haldex equipped Škodas - like my 4x4 Yeti - already have this tech out front?!
