Hi Folks

I've just picked up my le it's fantastic . Just a wee question I know the id number is sewn into the seat but I thought it was somewhere else in the car?

Yes, I can confirm that the 250 2009 Octy LE's only had the individual numbers on each front seat and nowhere else. The seats and (unfortunately) the wheels were put on when they arrived in the UK (the leather seats are far better than the standard vRS full leather option, the less said about the monza wheels the better). Essentially they were a hybrid car, the last of the pre-facelift body shells but the first with the 2.0 tsi engines, and also the first with the newer center panal internal switchgear.

Hope you mean 500 le cars ? As mine is number 446 !

Indeed I do, I was obviously trying to push up the rarity/desirability factor

it was only the MK1 vRS WRC edition that had the number on the dash, and there were only 100 of these worldwide.
