Well, it was carried out by Torque Tuning last night. They came out, an hour or so later they loaded the new one and here we are. The drive home put a grin on my face. The "I drive like the tightest person in the world" trip to work this morning was very interesting. Usuall I would see anything between 45-54mpg due to the nature of where I work. Today I was very surprised to find that at one point I hit 60mpg and the lowest that it went was 48mpg. I think the newer map has a flatter torque curve through out the rev range but increases boost giving more power and obviously torque. Its been estimated at approximately 170bhp but until it goes on a rolling road we won't know. Its only been one day but I am impressed, not only with the results but also with the service.

They were recommended as they do an awful lot of VW engined cars. I am massively lazy so somebody coming to me to have it done made more perfect sense than perfect sense.

I was a little optimistic on the fuel figures. I think it must have been having a moment as everything is back to normal with the fuel figures that I was seeing before. But, they are certainly no worse than before.
