You'll be look at things like

Focus st's

Megane renault sports

Both completely hatefull cars

And a civic type r isn't really moddable unless you have 5 grand spare

add another grand to the budget and get yourself a supercharged type r. they sell for around 6.5/7k now. 300bhp in a car which handles amazing. prices for modified parts on type r's have plummeted now, so you can get 250bhp out of them for around £1500-£2k.

Get a TFSI Octy. Might be tight to get a 5yr old one for that budget.
