Adjusting headlights on FL octavia with xenons

Featured Replies

I had the entire headlight assembly swapped under warranty recently and it looks like they didn't adjust the height of the new headlight properly. It's too high and makes the beam pattern look a bit messy. Don't know if it actually is too high or not but I figured I'd lower it a bit until the cutoff lines line up properly on the wall.

Has anyone done this? I'm assuming there's a manual adjustment screw somewhere just like on all cars with halogens.

Xenon's should not be manually adjusted without first putting them into 'adjustment mode' which I believe is only possible with VCDS / at a dealer.

It is apparantley possible to exceed the limits of the automatic level sensors if you adjust them too far.
