Powercraft pressure washer

Featured Replies

Well after just over 3 1/2 yrs my powercraft pressure washer washer has given up. It was a great washer for £80.

So now I'm after people's recommendations for a new pressure washer. I've been looking at nilfisk washers, but there seems to be lots of different models - c120, c120 xtra etc.. I've seen one in Argos for £99 which looked quite good. I'm looking to spend no more than upto £200. Any help would be appreciated,

Many thanks George.

I have a nilfisk c110 and paid £65 for it and it had loads of extras like patio cleaning head. Does as great job. Can't fault it for other money.

Are there pressure washers you can buy that run from a water tank rather than fed from a hose?

Karchers can be run from a water butt.. Dont know if the Nilfisk can be...Sorry

My favourite is the Karcher Outlet site. PW's start at £30 (though the cheapest today is £60), but check back from time to time and you will get a great bargain.

These are my two new toys I got for £70 posted.

Cool unit. Just don't use the dirt blaster on the car (except with great caution). Lol. Seen someone use it on a wheel and have a tyre seperate from the wheel (funny as hell though). The other lances are okay but the dirt blaster can do some serious damage as it's too concentrated on one spot and can head a panel up in no time at all. But used with caution is a good tool to have.

Fair play on it lasting that long, I have had mine for some time now but may well upgrade soon, it's still chugging along at the minute though.......:)

As long as you have a large enough water butt and a 'decent' pressure washer, making sure you have an inline filter involved you can use any pressure washer from a water butt....... :)

Thanks Baker..I did wonder

Hi George,

Which ever you go for (I've got a kew, now nilfisk) I'd recommend you get one with an aluminium pump body rather than plastic if you can as they tend to last longer. BIL bought a plastic one and it froze up and cracked the pump housing, so if you do get a plastic one make sure you run it dry in the winter if it'll be somewhere prone to frost

cheers

Thank you all, for your comments and replies. There is some useful information , I will go back and do some more searching .

Cheers George.

A heads up.. was going to buy a Karcher K4 from the outlet, refurbished £163.50+ £5 odd delivery. Amazon have the same one new for £157.99 delivered.

I have a nilsfisk C110 and love it been brilliant think I paid £60 for her however I have used karchers too and I rate them also. Dont think the nilsfisks can be used off a water butt. Try hot uk deals see if theres any offers out there.

Let us know how you get on George

idealworld.tv have a good Karcher deal at the moment, until 9 pm tonight i think. The whole pressure washer kit, patio cleaner etc and detergent for £99.99, apparently £114.00 off. You can spread the cost over 4 months and they give a 2 year warranty too.

Just an update on the washer, I was looking at the nilfisk centennial, plus it has a 2yr warranty. The spec didn't seem to bad on it for what I required & it was only £99 from Argos . Today I went into homebase to have a look around, & they had the same washer for the same price, but they had a 20% off on gardening section, so I bought the nilfisk for £80. So a heads up if anyone wanted one. I thought It was a good deal. I haven't tried it yet, but hopefully in the next few days I will give it a go.

Thanks again George.
