I bought a 18 months old 1.2 12v fabia about 5 weeks ago and I love it, this is my 3rd car in 6 months.............. In May 2003 I was looking to buy a used/new car I was looking at an Ibiza and a fabia but due to the fabia not having air con and cd has standard I went for a brand new 3 door Ibiza 1.2 12v. I loved this car but longer I had it the more i could feel the hard ride due to the Ibiza having an sporty suspension so after some sleepless night I decided to get rid, again I looked at the Fabia but instead went for a Nissan Almera ( it was my first big car after always having smaller cars) 1.5 but after a few days i knew i made a mistake, 5 months later I had to go for a test drive in a Fabia. I was thinking of getting a 1.4 Fabia but since the 1.2 engine is the same one in my old Ibiza I knew I had to get this model.

Love the car but In my old Ibiza it had a locking system when seconds after you st off the doors locked,the salesman said this happened in the fabia but it does not can i do something to get this locking system working.

Also the former owner was a car hire company europcar.

VAG com will enable that locking thing for you - I think its anti-hijack or something?

Post which area you live in, and see if you can meet some 1 with the VAG-COM to activate the anti hijacking, or even go back to the dealer and point out that you were advised it did anti Hijack ,but doesnt do wot he says it does, & ask if the garage will activate. It only takes approx 30 seconds to do.

Yes I do live in Bradford. Have had a look at the VAG COM code for the anti hijacking lock ( would I be able to do this myself) and i might need to go back to DM Keith or can anyone on here help.
