What torque is safe for a standard clutch

Featured Replies

This is a question for a friend, he's thinking about getting his vrs remapped but is a bit worried about the clutch slipping, what is a safe amount of torque to run with the standard clutch, or does it all come down to driving style? Thanks

The usual answer is 300ft/lb but like you say driving style makes a difference but the main thing i think would be how old/worn his clutch is now.

You can easily cook one with standard power if you drive it

badly. Keep your revs up, dont stomp on the gas under 2000rpm

especially in higher gears and you should be fine.
