Long time appreciator, first time owner

Featured Replies

Hi,

Picked up my 2007 Octavia VRS estate yesterday. Had to travel over 200 miles to find the perfect fit, owned by a really nice guy who also told me about this site. I started getting interested in the VRS about 6 years ago, before I had a dog and a kid, so it was the saloon version but ended up with a GT4 instead at the time. That was an awesome car but now I have another speedster but with room in the back for all dog/child paraphernalia and with the German/Czech build quality that ticks my sensible boxes as well. It's mapped and modded here and there, inside and under the bonnet, and makes me smile when I drive her. Actually, just thinking about her makes me smile.

Looking forward to years of exciting use - just because I am a responsible adult now doesn't mean I want to take longer than 7 seconds to make it to 60 - as well as practical, economical, and safe motoring. Thank you Skoda (and Chris the previous owner for doing such a bang-up job with her).

However, need a spot of advice as I need to buy a suitable dog guard to keep the deranged mutt from drooling all over the leather - what's the best one available (best, not necessarily most expensive I hope!)

Also, only have one key and would like another one made - best to go through Skoda dealer or independant?

Anyway - I'm chuffed to bits!

Glad you like your vRS, you're not alone.....

Probably best you post your question about the mut guard in the Octy II section- you'll probably get more repies there. Suggest youdo the same in a seperate thread for your key too

cheers and welcome to the grin club
