Need New Brakes!

Featured Replies

So my rear brake pads are almost completely gone and I need some new ones.

Currently I have EBC yellowstuff 'R' pads on black diamond discs all round.

I'm wondering whether this is a worthwile combination to stay with as the front discs have barely worn and the rears are shot through!

I think the discs warped too.

Is there a better option that will still stop the car nice and efficiently? Did I need to upgrade or would standard OEM be ok?

I do drive enthusiastically and have mapped and stuff to around 225bhp.

Don't want to spend too much money either :(

Thanks in advance

Oem on the rear is perfectly fine :-)

Pagid from Eurocarparts with briskoda 25% discount.

I looked at pagid ones, They're very cheap! Are they actually worth buying?

With the combination on the front will they just get destroyed

And whats the discount code for them for future reference?

And If I bought OEM.... What are they and where can I get them from? Save paying Skoda prices

Pagid are OEM spec. I've used them on my VAG cars for many years without any issues.

Promotion code is BRISK25.

Just tried euro car parts and it doesn't like the promo code :(

Euro s have another 25% offer on at the moment so the brisk25 code does nt work till it finishes.

Tried carparts4less?

What about them piranhas terkin has got

They look cool and they were 200 for front n rear disc and pads :)

Carparts4less similar prices.

The piranhas do look cool. Are they gonna be better than the EBC solid discs though? Very similar price within a pound on ebay.

Pirhana discs around 70 quid. Dunno what pads terkin has got with them

Just seen the the piranha kit with mintex pads. 88 quid. That sounds good to me.

Does Terkin drive the VRs? and they fit?

Yeah mate, he pointed them out to me in his journal :)

Look very cool

I have pagid pads and black diamond drilled / grooved discs all round and work great.

Yeah. My black diamond ones have rusted pretty bad. Look a bit poor now.

Hope the piranhas don't do the same!

Whenever ECP do their no discount code offers, they are usually very similar to the Carparts4less prices (same company near enough).

Except CP4L usually still have their discount codes working, a 10% off one floating around as well as their advertised ones.

Gonna go piranha. Looks good and I need them urgent. I think it's metal on metal on one side!
