seat rail bolt cross threaded

hi guys ive got a problem with my seat bolt the previous owner has cross threaded this one however im no expert mechanic or have an epic toolbox ive got a small set of tools so anyone have any ideas how to get this out

Doesn't look cross threaded looks rounded off? Probably find someone used a torx bit and not a spline bit to do it.

Either try knocking another bit in it or drill the head off and lift the seat off the thread.

thanks its deffo seized ive used the m10 spline and looked at trying a torx part however ill try drilling next

They are loctited in so normally require a good fitting bit to get them out.

its about half way to 3/4 out and properly seized I hacksawed a line in it and tried to use a screwdriver and a hammer to move and no luck at all.

Mole grips? Decent ones though, not Christmas cracker ones.

Lube it up and be careful (within reason) with it. It could be that the end of the bolt is corroded if it protrudes below the fixing. Brute force may end up properly buggering up the threads and result in it spinning loosely.

I've had success in the past by using lots of WD40 or similar and alternately loosening and tightening and applying more lube. I'd guess you can't get to the bottom of the bolt though... (Assuming it's not just showing under the floorpan)?
