How much VRS is lower then Elegance

Featured Replies

I heard its lower a bit, how many mm???? Thank you

15mm IIRC.

1.2cm

Just under an Inch

My Elegance has also got the sport suspension option and 17" wheels. Does this have the same ride height as the Vrs?

Tyres are 225/45- 17.

I have the same combination. Drop vs standard is 13mm. (1/2 inch) but don't know if that is the same as a VRS.

How you are drop the car, by factory or just other springs . I meant Elegance! I want to put 17 inch alloys on normal Elegance springs but scare the car will be like 4x4

Sports suspension on the Elegance was 10mm lower than standard IIRC.

So with Sports suspension it's close to the ride height of the vRS, but not quite.

And the Sports setup didn't feel remotely 'sporty' to me, but that's maybe not answering the question ;)

How to find if my car got sport suspension or normal one?

According to my User manual the height of different models as follows:

Standard FL Octavia - 1462mm

FL Octavia with Sport Suspension - 1449mm = 13mm lower than standard

FL VRS - 1447mm = 15mm lower than standard

So to answer the original question, a VRS is 15mm lower than a standard Elegance

If you fit 17" wheels with 225/45 - 17 tyres with standard suspension then the ride height will be identical to that on standard tyres - the overall diameter is the same. I've got a 16" spare with a taller profile tyre but of the same overall diameter.

A 13mm drop does not seem much but I've got used to mine over the years.
