tracking problems help needed

Featured Replies

Just had two new tyres on the front on my 06 plate vrs tfsi. I noticed that the tyre had eorn excessively on the inner edge, so assumed the tracking was out (car drove nice and not noticeable at all) took it to my local tyre dealers who replaced my tyres with 2 falcons at £85 a peice, they then did the tracking as they said it was out.. I took the car out for an immediate spin and after putting my foot down I noticed the car seems to judder/skip when going high up the rev range..... any ideas what the problem is as im baffled! !!

Not sure if this helps,

Last week I swapped over from winter to summer tyres, they also carried out tracking as well. It wasn't until the next day when driving to work (50 miles mostly motorway) that I noticed the car pulled to the left when the steering wheel was in the straight ahead position. When driving straight, the wheel had an approximate 12 degree list on it. Took it back to the tyre fitters and explained the situation, they put it back through the tracking, and stated it was spot on, however, they can only do the tracking on the front wheels and it was possible the back wheels were out.

Got a four wheel alignment carried out at a Skoda dealer. they initially observed the same pull to the left as I did. Fair play to them, they spent a long time swapping the various wheels around, before they mannaged to eradicate the list.

The car rides like a dream now.
