Independent Dealer recommendation East Sussex

Featured Replies

Hi All,

My Octavia vrs CR diesel estate (late 2009) has now covered more than 70k miles, so is getting to it's time in life where more expensive items will need to be replaced (Cambelt, clutch etc). My local Skoda dealer is very good but I'd like to keep the cost of the more expensive work down a bit. Could anyone recommend a decent independent specialist in (or near) East Sussex? Thanks very much in advance!

Hi vrsfanboy,

I have been taking my Fabia vRS to Camspec in Crawley. They have been bloomin good with my car and I can certainly recommend them.

Here is the link to their website http://camspeconline.com/

When my Octavia is due for a service i will defo be taking it in to them !!

Thanks CmB, good to hear your experience with the Fabia vrs. I'll give them a call tomorrow, as I need brake pads (possibly discs as well). Do you know what their hourly rate is?

£59 per hour plus VAT.

I know they are not the cheapest around but they have spotted, and rectified, mistakes by a main dealer i used to use so i trust them to do a good job.

Also, not east Sussex but west Sussex, Clarion in west Worthing. Not sure where you live but Clarion used to be main dealer, but are now a specialist dealer. Always lend me (free) an old banger courtesy car and do a good job!

Thanks ednmra for your recommendation - it's really appreciated. I'm a bit closer to Crawley, so I'll start with Camspec but I'll certainly bear Clarion in mind.
