Top boost pipe leaking oil

Featured Replies

Noticed my top boost pipe is leaking oil as the inner wing and back of headlight is covered in oil. The turbo seems to be alot more vocal (always been able to hear it whistle etc but it seems louder now) but not got a lack of power or a drop of boost as far as I can tell. Is it worth taking the pipes apart cleaning and refitting or can I do something else to stop it?

If it's the pipe itself then I'd say replacement is the best option, if it's a join then have a go at re-sealing it.

Mine had developed a small leak the other day, I run a stainless steel top pipe so I had the hole welded up.

Think it's the join to be honest. I saw you made one I'm tempted to do that but thinking of going fmic so don't want to waste money doing that to then do a fmic
