Time for the Fabia vRS to go...for an Octavia vRS.

Featured Replies

Well the time has come to say farewell to the Fabia, it is being traded in for a 60 plate Octavia vRS petrol in race blue.

The Fabia has been spot on but I fancied a change really. It got a good send off last weekend at the Cumbrian Run :)

Also, this means the TMC box is up for sale, please see here if you are interested: http://www.briskoda....-box-fabia-vrs/

The Octavia is really nice, but it will be sad to see the Fabia go.

Enjoy the new car. Good to see some more positive views on the Fabia too.

Oh i do like the Octavia VRS... Good choice.

Did the same thing myself - two years ago, never looked back.

I can't wait :) just waiting for funds to clear and time to make another long drive to Sheffield to pick her up.

The 2.0 TSI is an absolute peach of an engine with a stage 1 remap as well!!

Looks very nice and in the best colour

Peach as in good? :)

It will be getting treated to an APR remap with switchable maps as soon as funds allow.

Peach means good, yes.

As in 'she has a peach of an ass'

Haha, cracking explanation!

Yes, peach is good. Thee have a much stronger High Pressure Fueling system than the 2.0TFSI so give better results from a remap.

ie

Stage 1 2.0TSI similar figures to a stage 2 2.0TFSI of 250-260Hp/300lbft.

Stage 2 2.0TSI similar figures to a stage 2+ 2.0TFSI of 280Hpl330lbft

Also these respond to a K04 turbo VERY VERY well. A simple K04 turbo for second hand, a downpipe and intake will see you at 370-380hp!!

You could get a K04 turbo fitted with stock exhaust and intake with a more custom map as well and that will give you well over 320-330Hp with low boost levels and only cost you peanuts.

Great engine IMO.

Providing the cam chain tensioner feels up to it as well.....................

Good work Stu, chopped our Fabia vRS estate in for a Blackline DSG estate a few months ago and dont regret it at all. The Fabia was alot of fast hatch for new car money but the Octavia vRS in both petrol and diesel forms is alot more acomplished and just generally a nicer car; better to look at and live with day to day also.

Welcome to the Face Lift Octavia Vrs Club Stu, :hi:
