I think my Citigo would look better if the lower part of the hatch (under the window) would be tinted. Is this possible, e.g. with some foil?

I'm looking at similar ideas but my Citigo is black and I'm looking at doing the grove at the bottom (the one where the normal foil fits).

The best and cheapest way would be to vinyl the tailgate as you can take it off when you are bored of it. Many companies now do colour changing this way as its cheaper and easier than a respray.

There's a guy on the up! forum looking for the opposite. He wants to swap his glass tailgate for a Skoda Citigo one !!
