Hi,

I was wondering if someone could help. I have an 02 plate Skoda Fabia classic and am having an issue getting into first gear. If I try get direct into gear it will not go so have to pull it down into second slightly then up and it goes in fine.

Does anyone know what it could be and how much you're looking roughly for a fix. I can manage driving with it for now but its a bit of a pain.

Mine was like this for months matey

Its somewhere along the linkage, one of the bolts just wont nick up tight enough so either need shorter bolt or just space the top out with washer

Darkside fixed mine while i was having a new engine, said it took 2 mins

Have you tried resetting the gear linkage?
