How low?

Featured Replies

Hello

I recently bought some 17" 8.5j wheels and I'm also buying some coilovers from DPM.

I don't want to go low low, I need to retain some practicality, I was thinking 50mm front and rear, or I'm I going to run into massive issues?

pictures would be great if possible.

cheers

Adrian

Depends on the offset of the wheels mate, lowering 50mm is quite a lot, the VRS is already 20mm lower than standard IIRC

50 is fine, mine was a standard car, and ran into issues around 85mm drop, the drive shaft hits the chassis

offset is ET52

i have 15mm and 20mm spacers

THanks man!

15mm spacers will give you et38, 20's will give you et33. 15mm ones will be the best for avoiding arch rub, i had et34 on the rear and they caught a bit

50mm is quite a bit on top of the already lowered VRS suspension but that's the joy of coilovers, just trial and error until you get a height that suits your needs.

Yeah budget yeah, get your spacers out.

i am on coilovers that allow a 60mm drop and i have removed rear adjusters making around 70mm and front helpers to go to 75-80 mm and im on 18" wheels and 225 tyres i had to get thee rear arches rolled but she is all good and speedbumps arent much of an issue just have to go slower lol
