Going in for warranty work with a slight problem (hopefully) in pulling away fairly quickly from low 20-30 mph (overtaking when coming out of roundabouts an example) when you get a second or 2 of a rough

grunt from DSG box.

It's had the previous software fix about a year ago and the turbo shim fix that hasn't put it to bed..

Has there been any further updates to address the problem (say last 6 months)?

Could it be the start of a bigger problem with the DSG box?

Other problem being the boot badge (3rd so far), and a rear seat slide adjustment issue.

You are referring to the 7 speed dry 'box as fitted to the 1.2tsi I believe.

Isn't this just a known and designed characteristic of the DSG? There have been many comments about this in the motoring presswith many VW owners complaining about this dangerous hesitation. Search Honest John for details of why it occurs.

The dangerous hestitation was fixed by the first software update (I exerienced it), this is different,

more of a rough 'grrrrrh' sound which makes me think all is not well inside the gearbox. Happens regularly and has only been more evident for the last few months.

We'll see what dealer makes of it.
