Need some help on following behaviour.

On a few occasions in the last week when I have started the car up, dashboard lights come on and go out as normal when starting up. After a few minutes of driving sometimes the glow plug symbol starts flashing. If I pull over stop the engine and restart all the dashboard lights come on and go out again as normal and I carry on driving and the glow plug light doesn't come on again.

Any suggestions/ideas on this please ?

Check your brake lights. My missus had a Golf tdi some yrs ago & same flashing glow plug light meant dodgy brake lights!! Skoda possibly the same set up?

I have this, brake lights are fine and now it is on always flashing whenever the cars running. Took it to a garage and they said it is linked to the fact my EGR valve is knackered. Hoping to get them both sorted in a few weeks once house move has settled down!
