Uneven running - air mass meter?

Featured Replies

My recently purchased 1998 1.6 GLXi runs rough. It hesitates when accelerating - like a severe 'flat spot'. It also misfires on a trailing throttle.

However, it runs OK at crusing speeds with just a little unevenness. Fuel economy is fine.

Could this be the air mass meter? How do I go about diagnosing and replacing it?

Thanks,

Tony
