I am looking to buy a Skoa Octavia VRS Diesel and am looking for some advise please.

Is there anything I should look to avoid or any specific add-ons I should be looking the car to have.

Looking at that car you've linked for 12k, on the freedom section there's a Silver 57 plate mk2 octy with 51k miles for £7000, could be wise looking at it and saving yourself a few quid.

If your budget will allow I'd get the CR rather than PD engine aa they're less likely to have DPF problems. Check the tyres for saw toothing and make the usual cheks. If you are getting the PD make sure it's had the VOSA injector recall. The other guys will be able to help with other know issues.
