retrofit cruise control ecu help

Featured Replies

Hi all. Got all the wiring sorted upto the pins on the ecu. I dont fancy getting them in the wrong pins. Can anyone shed any light as to which pins the wires go in as the instructions are useless and just give me numbers which mean nothing to me.

Cheers

Once you have opened the ecu connectors up the numbers are marked on the terminal strips mate, you have to look hard though bud

Ye ive seen them but they dont line up with holes for pins. Dont want to put them on wrong holes as there impossible to get out lol. Could do with a drawing for dummies :-)

As stated the number's are on the plugs but dam small buddy, took me ages to get it. Not sure if they have number's all along but only at intervals(so you need to count between them)

If this helps i took the numbers down on the plugs when I did mine.

first plug:

Far from left is:

24..........16............8

43..........34...........25

2nd plug

62..........53...........44

81..........72...........63

As you have a VRS you need to wire

75 = blue/grey

57 = red/yellow

38 = black/white

76 = white

so what you do is count down the wires using the marker point on the plug as above till you get to the ones you need and plug in

hope this helps

Im hoping it doesn't come to that lol.

I think 2 holes have blank pins in them and the other 2 have no pins . You can use a very small flat screw driver or penknife to pick up the plastic locking tab to free up the 2 that have blank pin's. Then it is just a case of plugging in your 4 wires which should be easy once you identify the positions. :thumbup:
