312 brakes

Featured Replies

I came to some traffic lights today and to beat them going red I left my braking quite late, it was quite a tight right turn and when I did turn the brake peddle went really firm and I had no feeling through the peddle,

Wasn't a great feeling lol, any idea why this happened???

Did it still brake well or not really? if braking was poor it could be a damaged vacuum hose to the servo

Hard to tell it happened so fast, I didn't feel like I wasn't going to slow down enough, it's was just a horrible feeling, never happened like that before

I have occasionally had a bit of brake fade when I feel I shouldn't have had

dont want to sound like a **** but there may be nothing wrong with the car and it could just be a case of pushing you limits too far and looking for something to blame

Braking and cornering at the same time is asking for trouble.

Never thought of it like that lol, I'm not one for late braking to be fair

we have had it alot at work with machinery drivers giving themself a scare and blaming trying to blame it on the machine

and yes i have done it myself lol

Could be a split servo pipe or boiled fluid... is it spongey now?

You sure the ABS didnt kick in?
