Electromechanical and tcs warning lights

Featured Replies

hi all, I have now had my scout (2008) for 69000 miles and had no problems until the last couple of weeks, both lights come on if for instance I do an evasive manoeuvre to say miss a pot-hole etc. when I stop the the car for the night or leave it a short while everything is ok? I have checked the fluid levels and all is well! Has anyone else had this problem please? Kind regards mike

Might be an ABS sensor on the way out, which would probably mean the magnetic ring in the hub has started to rot.

If you can get the the error codes read from the car that'll give you a better idea.

thanks for the head up. Aspman, at least when I take it in for a check I will maybe have an idea kind regards. Mike

I had same problem, vcds told me intermittent fault from wheel speed sensor. Turned out I had to replace the hub/wheel bearing.

Thankyou super dog, will I have to get the the car analized with the dreaded laptop to tell me which wheel it is?

Regards. Mike

You'll need to get something to get the codes. Either laptop at the garage or a cheap code reader.

Coincidentally mine has just gone balls up again this morning so back to the indy to see what the prob is.
