Vrs, rear caliper won't rewind.

Featured Replies

Hi folks, I noticed my rear pads on the passenger side were badly worn. I got new pads and a rewind tool. Drivers side no problem, passengers side though, I just can't get it to budge. Any advice? Or do I need a new caliper?

Thanks for any advice.

Mine was the same. Really tight but it will go with some brute force. If I remember correctly I put the carrier back on finger tight without disk on and put calliper on finger tight then could rewind piston easily. If you try it whilst just holding it in one hand it's hard to do.

I had it in vice and it was still solid! I've bought a remanufactured one, then I split the short pipe removing it from caliper, arghhhhhh!

All replaced and working again, then I left the locking wheel nut key in the wheel and went for a test drive......

Wee trip to the dealer to replace.
