Radio and Cd Changer

Featured Replies

I have been driving a 2004 skoda superb 1.9tdi for around 2 years now. I have always had cd's in the changer and it has always worked fine but now when I press the 'cd' button a message comes on the display saying 'MECHANIC'. can anyone tell me how to solve this as the radio works 100% but its just when I try and play a cd. any help grateful thanks. :)

had the same problem-MECHANIC on display ,radio backlight was flashing sometimes.......does your interior lights works?

that was before i solved that water ingress problem.after that all works fine.

So check underneath your carpets....

I used to get this on my old Octavia, get a little can of compressed air and gave the changer a little blast of air and all was good.
