Simply put my car is out of warranty it has been given a full service by a friend and I would like to know how I can reset the service interval indicator. The display is the non maxidot version

It should probably be in your handbook. There is a combo of using the trip computer reset and turning the key which reset it.

I think, off the top of my head, its hold the button and turn the key from off to the first position and keep the button held until the indicator goes. Or its turn and hold the reset stalk.

Fixed or variable service intervals? If the latter, you will need to use VCDS.

I have tried resetting as per the manual. button 7 it says but it doesn't seem to work I still says -100 miles
