If you got the Starter kit then you won't have the Pneu type/rubber dressing, which is really what you require for the bumpers.

If you have put wax on them, and it has stained it white, use some Smooth Peanut Butter to get it off again, and just do the whole bumper to make it match, Takes it back to matte and removes the stain.
