Just ordered

Featured Replies

Many thanks to everyone who has answered my questions and given their thoughts and views.

I have just placed an order for candy white yeti cr170 elegance with heated screen, spare wheel, 3 spoke wheel, MDI, rough road pack, tow bar and extended wheel arches.

I think I got a pretty good deal from a local dealer by using Internet broker prices. No build date yet but 12 weeks waiting time has been mentioned.

I think my neighbours are excited as me as to the new purchase. They are interested in a yeti but want to see what mine is like first lol.

Nice spec hope it all goes well for you.

Sounds very similar to mine spec wise ... I am chuffed with mine even after 20000 miles ... waiting to see what the facelift looks like then will probably order another!

Enjoy it!

Hope to see some photos when delivery day arrives :)

How close to the broker price did your local dealer get?

I tried mine yesterday with a DTD quote for a 1.2tsi Elegance with DSG and a bunch of other

extras and he said he couldn't get close. He reckoned the DTD price was about 14% discount.

I used the prices I got from car file.net and he came close to £500 more. Considering I'm in Northern Ireland it would cost me near that to bring the car back from the mainland plus the hassle with Swansea to re-register it here! Think my deal came close to a 10% saving with the dealer saying that they only get about an 8% margin on new cars from skoda.

Thanks. I would prefer to order from a dealer directly than going through a broker but DTD appear

to offer considerable savings. They even offer free delivery to your door and 6 months road tax in

with the price. Must be a catch somewhere along the line!

I am going to check out a demonstrator at another local dealer early this week. All the goodies

I want but it's a 2.0 4X4 and I'm not a great fan of diesels. If I don't go for that I will try and see

how near to the broker quote they will offer for the petrol one.

You should try the dealers near the end of the month when they are looking to make their sales quotas. It always helps playing them off against one and other. Some times you can get the dealer to preregistration the car in their name it seems some sort of loophole that can save you some extra money.

If your willing to travel other dealers might offer you a better deal. When we ordered the Monte late last year, we rang round quite a few dealers both near and far and well over 1k was the difference in cost to change.

Would try Lee at Preston Motors as a start; [email protected]

Oh also try Horton's up at Lincoln

Just got an email from the dealer today. Build date week 22 which i think is the 2nd week in July. All being well should have the car by August. Quite a bit sooner than their initial 12week estimate :-)

Week 22 was last week.
