I might be missing something here (it has been known) but I am trying to feed an ipod lead into the glovebox of my 57 plate Octavia but it appears to be a closed unit meaning there's no way of feeding the cable through.

Anyone shed any light on this for me?

When I installed the power unit in my glovebox I punched a hole in the back top right corner. I don't think (could be wrong here though) that MDI was an option at that time, so nowhere "official" to punch out.

When I ran the audio/power in mine, also punched a hole in the touch-box on top of the dash......easier to reach from the driver's seat ;)
