Ive just brought a mk1 octavia vrs.A couple of times iv drove it iv had boost problems. Basically if it starts and has boost its fine for the journey, but a couple of times now its not boosted through the whole journey, this morning i drove the misses to work and no boost, turned it off then back on 5 secs later and boost was back. Anyone had any simular issues or any ideas what this could be, thanks in advance

Mine did that for a while until I replaced a coil pack due to a slight misfire. Sounds like its going into 'limp home' mode. Could be anything causing it. Recommend you get it checked for fault codes also before you start replacing parts.

Yeah, it's going in to limp, & recycling the ignition pulls it out. There will be a fault code stored in the ECU so you need to get VCDS diagnostic done. Check on the Vagcom section of this forum there's bound to be someone in your area who help you out for beer tokens.
