was a bit shocked on friday

Featured Replies

saw 50.3 mpg on my display in the vRS, I knew it was a fair bit more economical than my old scooby but that amazed me

I too hit the 50 mark at the weekend. Was quite shocked! It was mostly downhill though so it soon went down again, but was still pleasantly surprised.

My car has just ticked over 10k, so perhaps this is a sign of things to come :)

the journey home has a few hills, both up and down but it never dipped below 44mpg

My average at the end of that journey was 44ish as well. The warmer weather is really helping. I'm getting over 40 mpg on most journeys over 10 miles now, even with some spirited driving. Very pleased indeed.

you cant be driving it right, it should be around the 20 mark :p

That's only on VERY spirited drive... :giggle: Although saying that, I don't think I've ever seen it at 20! I think you may be right. My next mission is to see how low I can get it!

I hit 51mpg going from Manchester area to Hornsea in Yorkshire on Friday :)

115 ish miles. 45mpg coming back on Sunday.

to all the doubters, you can have the best of both worlds

well not counting oil that is

Looks like the warmer weather is improving MPG all round as the Roomster seems to be a bit more frugal over the last few days too :)
