Isn't that the spy car - not a production model?

Got an addition for my Rapid rear end soon ;)

it looks as good as any other euro box. What do you want from a family car?

He wants a Golf look a like that uses no oil :)

I here most cars are "like a Golf".......

If they all looked the same it would be boring

Sounds like a golf when you shut the doors which is more than I could say for my fabia.

our Fabia is a bit tinny too, but it keeps me in and the weather out. Also it cost less than a Golf or Polo.

Lol, I don't think I'll be taking too much notice of the OP's judgement given that the car in the photo does not show the rear end of the Rapid.

Is it not :wonder: I thought it was a Rapid, but then I don't have one.

Is it a cocktavia?

they look the same to me anyway :bandit:

It is a Rapid but that was a pre-production test car and is heavily disguised. So unless the Rapid the OP saw was on the Nurburgring some time early last year that is not the car he saw.

I could not believe the first one i spotted in Pale Blue metallic.

The boot looks like a poor attempt at origami IMO.

I thought it must be a disguise/mule vehicle out for testing.

Turns out someone in my street owns it, and thats how they look.

Like a Mondeo customised by a Barry Boy.

It's the new design...

It'll soon be on nearly every model and we'll all get used to it through familiarity.

Yeah it is the corporate look skoda is adopting, although I do like the front is very modern I think the kia looks similar in shape at the front end

Yes, it looks like someone has has ready crashed into it and it's all crumpled - far too busy from a design perspective for my uneducated eye.

Also, the boot lip on the new octy seems very high when I've seen one. Is it? Or just an optical trick?

You can't please all the people all the time. Some people whine on about the dash being "too plain" but when they try and add a bit of definition and interest with the rear hatch people complain about that too :wall:

Personally I think it makes it look a bit more interesting that just a big slab of metal, although don't know if I'd miss it if it wasn't there.

The Kia does look kind of similar yeah. Have to wonder how much of that is down to the engineering implications of getting a good NCAP score against the current criteria at time of design.

It's not far off. Since it's already on the forums I've no problem posting the pic of mine (complete with M$ Paint messy number plate hiding job)
