Aviva Drive App - anyone used it yet?

Featured Replies

Anyone used the Aviva drive app yet? Apparently uses your phone's GPS system to determine how safe you are over a minimum of 200 miles. You are entitled to a discount related to your score.

There's a similar one from Confused.com.

It's not bad, not sure how accurate it is though.

I don't have insurance from either but my paranoia make me wonder just how 'good' a driver you have to be to reduce your premium and what would happen if you're a 'bad boy/girl' and get naughty scores... will they use that data to increase your next premium.

Got to go as I think someone is following me......

There's also a AA one. I used that and got full marks, didn't reduce my premium one bit though!

Didn't know about it - very intriguing. Surely seems a no brainer and fairly easy to fool... 200 miles on a motorway and take yor time... Worth it for 10-20% discount surely!

I tried it when first released, its crap. Fails to get gps then finally fails to record your journeys etc. Eventualy got 1000 miles logged and the quote from aviva was no different.
