fabia key fob - windows

Featured Replies

I was down my mates house on the weekend.... his mrs had an Audi TT. Anyway... when his mrs opens the car with her key fob (like ours) and keeps holding the "open" buton on the fob... the windows "pop" down.

Is there a way of making our fobs do this?

Be handy in this heat just to press the button on key fob!

(i know you can do it via the key manually -Note for you people that do not know..... if you open the car with the key (not fob) and hold the key to the left - the windows open) (same to close them)

I think you need the Alientech controller for that. IIRC some have done it on Octys' date=' may be worth a search....

I don't think it's possible to fit this to the Fabia, but I believe there was someone fairly recently who had got one and was going to try it. :D

Over here, all the Fabia range now only have electric front windows! I was lucky and my 2001 Fabia Elegance was one of the last ones with electric rear windows so all 4 windows open with the key in the door :D

To disable the alarm's interior sensors, press the "lock" on the remote twice :D

{EDIT} shoulda read the full thread :P

that also disables the deadlocks.

Right there is no way to get the windows to come down by the fob (a la Audi) on the Fabia. The Electrics of the last generation Octavia/Golf platform cars are compatible with the Alientech.

The Fabia uses the next generation of multiplex wiring (now supersseded by CAN) and is not compatible with Alientech, so unfortunatly you are stuck.

Just wondering where the interior sensors are? I have seen several cars with sensors built into the B-pillar but haven't spotted anything like that on my Fabia. [i'm making the assumption here that the alarm is slightly more sophisticated than it going off if the door gets opened while armed - i.e. it would go off if someone broke a window]

they are not that good.

The interior monitoring in the fabia is hiddeden in that little grate where the intwerior lights are IIRC.
