Cleaning OCD backfire.

Featured Replies

Having taken the time to remove my wheels, clean, clay & seal them I was properly chuffed with the gleaming results. It was during refitting I was attacked by a vicious, rabid, 18 stone badger. During the struggle one of them dropped face down and it rolled like a coin on a table-top! Eight of the ten spokes damaged & thoroughly narked off! :@

Note: If anyone believes the badger story I'll be sure to use it with SWMBO!

Anyone have an 18" Zenith knocking around for a sympathetic sale?

Hey Chris.

Thanks for the tip but I'm heading for a refurb... possibly without mention of badgers! :giggle:

I feel your pain

The paint match of the refurb will most likely not match the other wheels, so get both done on the same side to avoid the difference being obvious.

I nearly felt the same pain when it happened to me with one of my 18" Zeniths on jagged gravel. Might even have been the same badger too, they seem to have a penchant for nice wheels! I scared him off with my chunky 245 tyres which saved the day. None of that stretching mullarkey for me Brock....

If you are anywhere near Blandford in Dorset I think I know where they are. Taken up residence on one of the roundabouts on the bypass.
