After going to the ibiza side lve now relised I need a Fabia back into my life...

My first car was an x reg fabia sdi classic with somthing around 170k miles on and It was my favourite car I've ever had! I've had a few other Fabias, astras, new shape fiesta, golf and my ibiza... They just don't come close!

The ibiza was ment to be my idea of going back to a fabia... Without having another fabia (had 3 in total) but as you may have guessed... It isn't the same!!

I'm wanting another Fabia sdi in black, don't care for mileage, interior, condition, crashed etc...

Hoping to pay a couple hundred quid for it and spend the rest making it how I want.

Rip most the interior out and fit decent front seats (preferably leather as I'm a mechanic and often leave work coverd in oil and crap off the floor)

Despite everyone crying about any performance modifications it will be getting them

- A remap is 100% being done, it's free so if I only get 4bhp I'm not botherd.

- A half decent induction kit will be fitted

- A straight through exhaust will also 100% be done, although I'm worried about smoke a little?!

- If I can get cams for under £300 I'll also be getting them.

I believe they are 64bhp standard so if I get over 80bhp I'll be pleased!

As with all three of my previous Fabias they will get the vrs body kits fitted, front and back bumpers anyway.

wtf is the point of a remap on an SDi? Get a 1.9TDi PD 100, rag it a bit so the ECU learns your style and get a PD125 with no remap

Even a 1.4tdi maps up to 110bhp

Because I can't get a black tdi for under £500, seen plenty sdi's for that price including one yesterday for £295 I believe.

Mostly because I want one though, had to many tdi's... Their pooo!!

Everyone can cry there eyes out because I'm modifying somthing that isn't a vrs... I'd rather modify a 1.4 16v and get it faster than a vrs...

EDIT: ....well just seen another comment, I've been on the look out for a 1.4 pd tdi so would have one of them if the price is right... would still chose an sdi over a tdi anyday

I for one was hoping you would have done the SDI thing.

As i said earlier, my dad was picking the car up for me so i bought it blind, Bad idea? yeah.

im pretty sure the headgasket has failed, i went for about a 5 mile drive, popped the bonnet and seen the coolant level was way over the max, opend the cap a little to check for preassure and suprise suprise... its pee'd out all over!

i removed the coolant and put it back to the level it should be, drove it for another couple of mile giving it some stick then checked it again, the level had went up by about 20mm over the max and had preassure in the bottle again. (anyone done one of these headgaskets before?)

After another look around the car i can so far tell it has...

Also got the pd150/160 air intake, cone in a box filter, cupra and polly bushes from a quick church over this morning...

Why don't you get a cheap sdi from a scrapper and rip out the turd vrs lump and stick that in? Lol
