Squeeky windows

Featured Replies

My two front windows squeek like mad in hot days, I know I havta oil the motor, jst wonderin is it a big job or has anybody ever done it??? Cheers!

I have the same problem too, they only go away if the window is wet. So i am assuming its the rubber seal at the bottom of window that dries out lol

+1 I have this problem with both drivers side windows

i also have the same problem during hot summer days and its related to the rubber near the windows

Nice to hear about this problem, must mean the weather is :sun:

  • 1 month later...

It's the rubbers at the sides of the windows.

Run some silicon grease into the rubber channels. that's cured mine on both Octavias

Mike

Where would i get such a thing from???

Yeah... my other one has started doing it now too. So both mine now. Weird!

I've got a Holts aerosol that looks after it - "Rubber & Nylon Lubricant".
