Hi guys, new here still, 1st ever skoda also. I have a 09 octavia estate 1.9td on 70k. Just had the dog gaurd fitted and the mechanic said my brake pads are reet low. Time for a new set alround. To be fair I can see they are low. My question is what sort of money should I expect to pay. Tbh I have not had a car for 5 years, been on motorbikes so don't have a clue!! I hate spending money, and hate having to spend more than I should!! Lol

Hi guys, thanks for reply's, I got them sorted, got pads, brembo?? Think that's spelt right? From local shop and I was lucky as I work with a lad who taxis in evening and his pal looks after cars for the taxi boys and he fitted them for a good price.

The local part shop ordered the brembo in, but can I ask this, is getting pads for an 09 octavia really this hard?? They had my reg, and it came up computer, and they had pads in stock. BOTH SETS!! Yes 2 different sets for my car. One came with a spring thingy on it, one set without. I was stuck/lost etc etc. here's me, you got my reg you got my car on computer can't you tell what pads I need?? Look in manual in glove box, no answer.. And I have not had a car in years and years, I rode bikes, so very very unknowledgeable/green/thick!! Didn't realise there would be so many options for 1 car? Had to takey car to said friend who told me, but then I ordered the brembos anyway and they fitted so pro ken over... But did you guys come across this ever?
