Storage nets/organisers Fabia 1 Hatch

Featured Replies

Hello.

At the moment I keep a shopping bag full of emergency kit and useful stuff in the boot, tethered to the side witha bungee cord, buy it takes up quite a bit of space.

I'd stumbled across these vertical storage nets for the Fabia 2 and wonder if anything similar exists for the Fabia 1? I like the idea of being able to use the wasted space around the wheel arch for small things (I think the car originally had an oil bottle stowed in one, as theirs a ripped velcro strap there.

If had a good search on this forum, but can't find anything similar. I've seen the ones for the Fabia Estate, but mines only a hatchback, (I'm stating to wish I'd got an estate now!).

Any help will be much appreciated!

All the best

Gary

I have the Fabia mk1 nets. Set came as three nets plus a hardware pack to attach two cleats to the plastic trim near the rear lights. Upper attachment for the small net.

Also have a nice cheap bag I bought from Tesco online for £4.

You could grab those fabia MK2 nets and see if they'll fit.

I also found this on eBay for my brother's Ibiza http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Genuine-Kia-Soul-2011-Boot-cargo-net-storage-holder-P81702K000-luggage-safety-/170918151717?pt=UK_Car_Exterior_Accessories&hash=item27cb840625

... folded double and loops over the rear seat mounts.

Thanks Vindaloo. The problem with the ones that fit on the back of the seats is that I often have to fold half the seat to fit equipment in the car when travelling for work so the one's that fit next to the wheelarches are more what I'm after.

I suppose I can give the Mk2 nets a go. Isn't the boot much bigger on the Mk2 though? I wonder if the Mk1 nets have been discontinued? I can't seem to find them anywhere.

Yes, the Mk1 sets seem to have evaporated. I couldn't find any when looking for some for my brother, hence the Kia one.

Looked at various nets over the years, any elasticated and hooked one could do... Though you'd probably need to obtain a cleat or tie-down to support the upper back ends of them.

Search eBay for "plastic cleats" or "D rings". Plenty of nets of eBay too.

Brilliant. Thanks for your help! I'll have a proper look later when I have more time and post back here if I find anything good... just in case anyone else is in the same position.

You may still get them from from the dealer they come as a set of 3 back of seat or front edge of boot one side one and a bottom cargo net. What about under parcel shelf one? As you can either get a net or a bag which you mount to the shelf

I've got the parcel shelf net in mine. Also a Skoda side net I bought off a member on here. I'll dig out the part number. There's also PVC bags that slot into the N/S and O/S wheel arch.

Edit. I'm sure I saw a set of three genuine Skoda nets for ~ £27.00 somewhere. Might even have been at Skoda when I asked.

As I thought, they come as a set of three; 1 x side, 1 x floor and 1 x back.

I believe the part number is DMA 410 007 and still available from Skoda parts depts. or possibly even TPS
