When you absolutely have to use a car wash ...

Featured Replies

So you've just driven your newly detailed pride and joy the length of the country through the mud and salt of an English winter to visit Granny for Christmas. The car is filthy and it'll be a fortnight before you're back home. For whatever reason, you can't wash it yourself. Do you put it through (1) a mechanical wash, (2) a jet wash, (3) let the Kosovans have a go, or (4) just leave it dirty and hope it rains a lot?

(I'm guessing (2), but do we know what's coming out of the nozzle?)

Me, out of your choices I'd go with optiom 4. Commercial jet wahes are 'kin powerful so I wouldn't risk using one.

Id go for either 2, or take a trip to a nearby motoring store and buy a few bits and pieces and do it myself, provided Granny allows use of her taps to facilities to fill a few buckets, but then that's going against the idea of absolutely having to use a car wash :giggle:

It's almost the middle of june, how slowly do you drive? Number four.

Number 4 for me too.

(2) + take yourself a MF Wash pad and bucket

Whatever you do ONLY use the Jet wash...NEVER the brush

Rinse, apply their foam and use your Wash pad ..rinse again.

Better than nothing and almost as safe..Powerful as they are,,I doubt any damage will occur if you use common sense

4 - I've not had time to wash mine for a while so I've not bothered.
