Falken vs Uniroyal

Featured Replies

I am looking for some new tyres (in 205/55/16s in case you were interested.

I have it down to two. The Falken ZE914 Ecorun and the Uniroyal RainExpert. I will be doing all 4 tyres.

I just want to know if anyone uses these tyres and if so what they think?

They both seem to have good reviews:

Although the Uniroyals do have a lot more so the figures will be more accurate.

I'd always go for Uniroyals over Falken. Falken are more of a budget brand.

Run Uniroyal Rainsport 2's on my Corrado VR6 and they're great.

Well I have had both makes although the uniroyals were on my vr6 and the falkens are on my octy vrs currently.

I did find both tyres in question to be very good.

The uniroyals did seem to wear slightly quicker as they are most likely a slightly softer compound but on two completely different cars so take it as a rough comparison.

But I'm on my second set of falkens on the octy due to the price, grip and durability.

At the end of the day you pays your money and takes your chances :D

Uniroyal Rainsports are awesome in the dry, even better in the wet

I ordered the Falkens. Got a few nice features that I like, including the tyre rotation markers.

Plus I find myself driving more economically nowadays so interesting to see how the tyre helps.
