VRS Chrome Grill 2012 (Top & Bottom) Help

Featured Replies

I urgently need a new chrome grill, top and bottom part for my VRS including skoda

badge.

Any chance anyone knows the product codes and a place online to order?

Really appreciate any help, thank you

Can you not just contact any Skoda Dealership in any country that suits you, and order the parts?

Or a wanted add on here for someone that has changed to Black Items and could possibly send you their surplus ones.

Thanks for the advice, tbh I would contact the only skoda dealership in Qatar but they are pretty poor when it comes to parts.

The module controlling the adaptive healights broke last week and its going to take 3-4 weeks to arrive from europe, god help if anything major fails :(

Will post in the wanted section, thanks

5J0853607 for the smaller strip that goes around the sides and bottom of the grill

5J0853633 for the top bonnet panel which includes the badge.

Not cheap I replaced my chrome for black after hitting a pheasant and damaging the chrome. If you want the black just add a B to the end of the part number.

Do these parts fit the facelift model, mine is a 2012 model?

Thanks

If you have a Mk2 Fabia VRS they will fit.

Was the Chrome really badly damaged in the Sand Storm?

Is it not suitable for being,

Removed, Sanded some more but with care, since the jobs already half done,

Sprayed with 'Filler Primer' then sanded nicely and Primed then sprayed Satin or Gloss Black?

Not that difficult to do, and if you are liable to get caught again soon in a sand storm maybe worth getting to know how to do.

Only an hours worth of effort i would have thought, to do both pieces..

Maybe buy the new Skoda Badge if Needed, or Paint the old one and then use a Sticker on it..

If you are going to re-spray as per Georges comments above. Have a look at the monte carlo grill thread in the Fabia 2 Forum on the home page. They are an absolute nightmare to take off especially the lower grill which on mine just fell to bits.

Thanks Guys, new parts on order and will collect them in two weeks from the UK as I'm back for a long weekend.

However, Skoda are fitting the new parts, so I now plan to have a go at the restoration on the damaged ones
