Difference btw TDI 2.0L 140HP and 170HP

Featured Replies

What is a difference between Yeti's TDI 2.0L engine 140HP ver. and 170HP?

Only computer management? Or is it different turbo, injectors, pump, etc.?

It's the turbo etc...

The 110 and 140 are practically identical, with a different map.

But the 170 has a number of physical changes.

You can remap the 110 and 140 to around 175bhp though, if you are not to worried about warranty issues.

But the 170 will remap to around 205bhp.

The 170 also has larger front brakes.

Short of remapping my Yeti ECU (I am in Taiwan) what is best chip brand to safely improve overall car performance? Without too much sacrificing of fuel economy? I don't do any towing

If you want DSG you're stuck with the 140 in the UK unfortunately.
