Vrs selection of fault codes :(

Featured Replies

Morning all, on the way into work today my vrs dropped into limp mode but didn't put the EML on. When I got to work I plugged it in on the scanner (snap on solus pro) and this is what I got:-

16514 02 sensor 1 bank 1 intermittent fault p0130. ( I have a decat with Fooler)

16955 brake switch (f) implausible signal p0571

17705 pressure drop between turbo and throttle valve p1297.

I'll be checking breather hoses etc for the dreaded 17705 and I figure my decat is causing the 02 sensor code. Is there anything common with the brake switch and would it cause the car to go into limp home mode?

Thanks in advance, Peter :)

The dreaded 17705 will put it into limp without the EML coming on.

Clear the codes & see if they come back on, & go from there.

You need to check all the boost & vacuum hoses. The S pipe under the inlet manifold is notorious for splitting, & triggering 17705.

I'll give them a check over at work in the morning. Gotta small drive out now so I'll see how it runs and rescan it tomorrow also.

Just been for a spin and as I've parked up it turns out I've no brake lights either. New switch tomorrow :(
