This might sound a daft question but is there anyway to transfer apps from old phone to new without loosing the saved data,

Tried just swopping memory card over but it doesn't know the apps are on there

Its android both samsung phones

On your new phone log into your Google play account. you can then do the next bit on a PC, iPad, Mac, something with a bigger screen - or on your phone if you are more adept than me. if on another machine go to https://play.google.com/store where you can sign in. You'll see your old phone and its list of apps and your library of apps. You can download from the library to your new phone.

As has been said, log into google play on new phone and redownload the apps. Then use old memory card to transfer save data across.

Use the 30 day trial of my backup pro.

Backup apps and data. Load my backup pro on the new device and restore the data. You shouldn't have to worry about contacts as they should have restored when you sync'd with Google.

You should have pretty much everything. If you use Firefox or chrome all your Web history and passwords will sync back.

Play store will take a few hours to recognise restored apps. Instant if both devices are rooted.
