skoda octavia central locking fault

Featured Replies

hi i have a 2001 skoda octavia elegance 1.9 td and only recently the central locking has started locking on and off even when driving or left alone and not pressing buttons it just keeps switching on and off and advice please as stuck

I had the fault of the doors locking & unlocking whilst driving along & i replaced my ignition switch & this has fixed it,mine is a mk2 octy though. You will get a better reply from the guys on the mk 1 octy section, maybe ask a mod to move this post for you. Welcome to the forum!

Its most likely the door control unit in the drivers door, its attached to the window motor

Looks like this

Becareful when you pull the multiplug off incase some pins are rusted, spray it with wd40 inside to remove the water let it dry then pop it back together
