Miltek downpipe with piper exhaust ?

Featured Replies

Anyone know if this set up work or does anyone use it On there vrs ??

I prefer the piper exhausts but want a miltek 3" downpipe cheers

The downpipe on the piper is the best bit! Full bore right from the turbo, my miltek one wasn't full size for a few inches after the turbo.

So do you reckon the piper one is better ??

The miltek claims its a 3" down to the reducer were it fits the front pipe.

My car was the development car for piper. I had a miltek downpipe which they showed me side by side, miltek one had a few inches from the turbo where it is smaller than the full bore to make fitting easier. The piper one is full 3" from the turbo, fitting is slightly more tricky, but worth the effort personally.

Are right just I thought the piper downpipe was 2.5" cheers for the help :)

So could you do it the other way around and mate a Piper downpipe to a catback Milltek system?

The piper down pipe is full 2.5".

I once fitted a milltek down pipe with a piper cat back, the fit wasn't good, bit too long somewhere! Changed to the matching piper down pipe and it was all good.

The piper decat is an absolute bitch to fit, the top nut onto the turbo is nigh on impossible to get a tool onto lol

Why do you want a 3" ? There is no need for it atall especially if going back down to 2.5" just use a full piper system. Unless you are running a bigger turbo (hybrid not being bigger) its a waste of money.

Also the piper system is 2.5 not 3 matt unless your development system was a one off.

Is the miltek 3" then? :-/ the piper and miltek downpipes were the same size further from the turbo, just the end that joined the turbo was different.

Ah ok, I said 3" but I couldn't remember which it was, either way, the point of my post stands lol

Yer I know what you meen the the piper starts from the flange and the miltek flares out to full size after abit.
